About William Kent Krueger
William Kent Krueger (born May 21, 1950) is an American author known for his mystery novels set in the Boundary Waters region of northern Minnesota. After serving in the U.S. Army and working as a newspaper reporter, Krueger began writing fiction in the 1990s. His debut novel, "Iron Lake" (1998), introduced Detective Cork O'Connor and became a critical and commercial success, winning the Anthony Award for Best First Novel. Krueger has since published over 20 novels in the Cork O'Connor series, as well as standalone novels, short stories, and children's books.
