Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

NextBookInTheSeries.com is a reading reference site. We do not sell your personal information or build advertising profiles ourselves — but like most free websites, we display ads through a third-party ad management partner, which uses cookies and similar technology as described below.

Information We Do Not Collect Directly

We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal information unless you choose to contact us directly. We do not sell any data we collect.

Advertising & Cookies

This site displays advertising through Journey (formerly Mediavine), an ad management service. Journey works with a number of third-party advertising partners — including Google, PubMatic, OpenX, Index Exchange, and others listed in our ads.txt file — who may set cookies, use local storage, or use similar tracking technologies on your device while you browse this site. These partners may collect information such as your IP address, device identifiers, and browsing activity to serve and measure advertising, including personalized ads based on your interests.

If you're visiting from the EU, UK, or another region with similar requirements, Journey's consent management platform will show you a consent prompt before any advertising cookies are set, letting you choose whether to allow personalized advertising.

We do not control these third parties' data practices directly. You can review Journey's own privacy policy at journeymv.com/privacy-policy, which lists its current advertising partners and your choices.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from many of these partners through the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance, or (in the EU/UK) the Your Online Choices opt-out tools, as well as through your browser's own cookie settings.

Server Logs

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs. These include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These logs are used solely for server security and performance purposes and are not shared with third parties.

Amazon Affiliate Links

This site participates in the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a link to Amazon and make a purchase, Amazon may set their own cookies and collect data in accordance with Amazon's Privacy Notice. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.

Reading Progress (Local Storage)

The "mark as read" feature on author and series pages stores your progress locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

Contact Form

If you send a message via the contact page, your message and email address are used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use the following external services:

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from minors.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will reflect that. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
