About the Author
Sheldon Siegel (born 1953) is an American mystery and suspense novelist. A former trial lawyer, he worked as a legal correspondent for the CBS affiliate in Detroit before turning to writing full-time. Siegel's debut novel, "Special Circumstances," won the Shamus Award for Best First P.I. Novel in 1990. His other notable works include "Final Verdict" (1993), "Blood Work" (1997), and "The Line Between Here and Gone" (2015). Siegel's books have been praised for their gripping plots, well-developed characters, and insightful exploration of legal and social issues. His work has received numerous awards, including the Macavity Award, the Edgar Award, and the Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger Award.
