**Wendy Corsi Staub** (born July 29, 1957) is an American author known for her suspenseful novels. Born in Long Island, New York, Staub studied journalism at Syracuse University. After a career in public relations, she began writing fiction in her thirties. Her debut novel, "Dying for Mercy" (1992), received critical acclaim for its suspense and gripping narrative. Staub has since published over 30 novels, including the bestselling "Final Option" series. Her thrillers often explore themes of family, loss, and the complexities of human relationships. She has won numerous awards, including the Eleanor Taylor Bland Award for Emerging Writers of Mystery and the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Romantic Suspense. Staub's novels have been translated into several languages and adapted for television and film.
