Lorien Legacies

**Pittacus Lore (born 1964)** Pittacus Lore, born James Frey, is an American author known for his young adult dystopian series, the Lorien Legacies. After a successful career as a director, producer, and screenwriter, Lore turned to writing in 2008. His first novel, "I Am Number Four," introduced the Lorien Legacies, a group of nine teenagers with superpowers who must hide from an invading alien race. The Lorien Legacies became a global phenomenon, selling over 12 million copies worldwide. Lore has written several other books in the series, including "The Power of Six," "The Rise of Nine," and "The Fall of Five." The books have been praised for their fast-paced action, relatable characters, and compelling exploration of themes such as identity, loss, and the power of hope. Lore has received numerous awards, including the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Book and the British Book Awards Children's Book of the Year.
