About the Dog Man series

Dav Pilkey's Dog Man is a phenomenon of children's publishing — a graphic-novel series, spun off from Captain Underpants, that has turned millions of reluctant readers into book lovers. Dog Man is a heroic part-dog, part-man police officer (the result of an emergency operation) who battles the evil cat Petey and a cast of gleefully silly villains.

The books are riotously funny, packed with comic-book action, deliberate misspellings and "Flip-O-Rama," but they also smuggle in real heart and lessons about empathy, identity and second chances. Kids devour them.

Read in order from "Dog Man" — recurring characters and running gags build across the series, and the stories grow surprisingly tender.
