About Brian Freeman

Brian Freeman is an American author of mystery and thriller novels. Born in 1963 in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was a journalist before turning to writing fiction. Freeman is known for his Lucas Davenport series, featuring a profiler working for the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The first novel in the series, "Immoral Proposition," was published in 2004 and became a New York Times bestseller. Freeman has since written over 20 novels in the series, which has been praised for its fast-paced action, complex characters, and intricate plots. In addition to the Lucas Davenport series, Freeman has also written standalone novels such as "The Bone House" (2017) and "Spilled Blood" (2020).
