Louise Rennison (1951-2018) was a beloved British children's and young adult author. Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, she began writing as a teenager and published her first novel, "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging," in 1999. Rennison's humorous and relatable novels, narrated by the teenage character Georgia Nicholson, became instant bestsellers.
