Beverly Lewis (born 1949) is an American writer best known for her Amish fiction novels. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she left the Amish community in her youth and later worked as a nurse and a pastor. Inspired by her Amish roots, she began writing about the Amish in the 1990s. Her first novel, "The Shunning," became a bestseller and launched a highly successful series. Lewis has written over 100 novels, many of which have been adapted into television movies and series.
