Julia Keller is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American author known for her mystery novels set in West Virginia. Born in 1958 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, she graduated from Princeton University and worked as a reporter for the Charleston Gazette before turning to writing fiction. Keller's debut novel, "Last Tango in Cyberspace," was published in 2002 and introduced readers to her recurring character, Mooney Boland, a former police detective turned private investigator. She has since written numerous Mooney Boland mysteries, including "Cold Case" (2010), which won the Edgar Award for Best Mystery Novel in 2011. Keller's work has garnered critical acclaim for its authentic portrayal of rural West Virginia, its well-developed characters, and its suspenseful plots. She has won the Edgar Award twice, the Anthony Award, and the Macavity Award. Her novels have been praised by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Publishers Weekly.
