Jo Spain is an Irish author known for her psychological crime thrillers. Born in Dublin, she holds a degree in psychology and a Master's in forensic psychology. Her debut novel, With Our Blessing, was published in 2016 and became an instant bestseller. It has been translated into multiple languages and was shortlisted for the Richard & Judy Search for a Bestseller competition. Spain's subsequent novels, The Confession (2017), The Perfect Lie (2018), and Dirty Little Secrets (2019), have also been widely acclaimed. Spain's novels are praised for their page-turning suspense, intricate plots, and complex characters. She has won the Marie Claire Crime Thriller of the Year Award twice, for With Our Blessing (2016) and The Perfect Lie (2018). Her work has also been nominated for the British Book Awards and the Irish Book Awards.
