Frank Tuttle (1892-1963) was an American film director known for his work in multiple genres. Born in New York City, he started in the film industry as a screenwriter and assistant director in the early 1910s. Tuttle's notable works include the war epic **A Dawn Patrol** (1930), the romantic drama **Lost Horizon** (1937), the Western **The Virginian** (1929), and the comedy **This Thing Called Love** (1929).
