Tom Wood is a contemporary British author, born in 1971, most known for his writing within the crime fiction genre. He spent his early life in the West Midlands before studying Modern Languages at the University of Bath. His debut novel, "The Killer Inside", published in 2006, marks the first appearance of the protagonist Detective Sergeant Harry Quinn, a character who features in numerous subsequent novels by Wood.
