Michael Anderle, an acclaimed contemporary author, was born in 1965 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is known for his lyrical prose and profound exploration of themes such as family, love, and the human condition. Anderle received his MFA from the University of Iowa Writers' Workshop. His debut novel, "The Everything Man," was published in 2002 and immediately garnered critical acclaim for its poignant portrayal of a father's struggles with Parkinson's disease. It was shortlisted for the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction. Anderle's subsequent novels, including "The Wave Watchers" and "Against the Nature of Things," have continued to receive high praise for their insightful and moving storytelling. His work has been translated into multiple languages and has earned him numerous accolades, including the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize and a Stegner Fellowship.
