About the Lincoln Lawyer series

Michael Connelly's Lincoln Lawyer novels follow Mickey Haller, a slick Los Angeles defence attorney who works out of the back seat of his Lincoln Town Car. Where Connelly's Harry Bosch hunts killers, Haller works the other side — defending the guilty and the wrongly accused alike, and discovering that the truth is rarely convenient for either.

The books are courtroom thrillers with a moral edge: Haller is charming, ethically compromised and surprisingly principled, and Connelly mines real tension from the gap between the law and justice. The Netflix series has brought a huge new audience.

Haller is also Bosch's half-brother, and the two increasingly cross over within Connelly's connected universe. Start with "The Lincoln Lawyer"; reading in publication order rewards you with the wider web of recurring characters.
