Born in Leeds, England, he moved to Canada in 1973 and became a professor of English at the University of Windsor. Robinson has published over 30 novels, including the bestselling "In a Dry Season." His Banks series, set in Yorkshire, England, has been praised for its complex characters, atmospheric settings, and intricate plots. The series has been adapted into a popular television show starring Stephen Tompkinson. Robinson has received numerous awards for his work, including the British Crime Writers' Association Gold Dagger Award for "Past Reason Haunting."
