About Terry Pratchett

Sir Terence David John Pratchett, known as Terry Pratchett (1948-2015), was a prolific English author of fantasy novels. His most notable work, the "Discworld" series, is a satirical and humorous exploration of fantasy tropes, spanning 41 novels and numerous short stories. Pratchett's writing style was characterized by its wit, wordplay, and exploration of philosophical themes. He received numerous awards, including the "Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction" (2004) and being knighted for his services to literature in 2009. Critical success came early, with the publication of "The Colour of Magic" (1983), the first in the "Discworld" series.
