Jeff Carson (1963-2022) was an American country music singer and songwriter. Born in Texarkana, Arkansas, he emerged onto the country music scene in 1995 with his hit single "Not on Your Love." Carson's debut album, also titled "Not on Your Love," was released the same year and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He went on to release several more albums throughout his career, including "Butterfly Kisses" (1995), "Real" (1997), and "In the Bonus Round" (2008). Carson received several awards and nominations throughout his career, including the Academy of Country Music Award for Song of the Year for "Butterfly Kisses" in 1996. He was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Song for the same song. Although he achieved critical and commercial success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Carson's career declined in later years. He died on March 26, 2022, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
