Scott Turow (born April 12, 1949) is an American attorney and author known for his legal thrillers. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Turow worked as a federal prosecutor in Chicago. He published his debut novel, "Presumed Innocent," in 1987, which became an instant bestseller and was adapted into a successful film. Turow has since written numerous novels, including "Burden of Proof" (1990), "Pleading Guilty" (1993), and "The Last Trial" (2006).
