About the Author
Louise Penny is an award-winning Canadian author known for her Inspector Gamache mystery series. Born in Toronto, she worked for many years as a radio producer and broadcaster. In 2005, she published "Still Life", the first in the Gamache series. The novels feature Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec, who investigates murders in the fictional village of Three Pines. The series has been praised for its complex characters, intricate plots, and depiction of rural Quebec. Penny's accolades include numerous Arthur Ellis Awards and five consecutive Agathas Awards for Best Mystery Novel. She is a member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Quebec. The Gamache novels have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide.
