Julian Stockwin (born 1941) is a British author known for his historical fiction novels and screenplays. Born in India, he spent his childhood in England. Notable works include "Kydd," a series of novels following the adventures of a young naval officer during the Napoleonic Wars; "Empires of the Sea," a trilogy set in the 18th and 19th centuries; and "The Lady Macbeth of Siberia," a story inspired by the real-life tale of a female convict in 19th-century Russia.
