C.G. Cooper is an award-winning American author. Born in North Carolina but raised in Delaware, they draw inspiration from their Southern roots and their experiences as a queer, non-binary individual. Cooper's debut novel, "The Man With No Name," (2023) won the John Leonard Prize from the National Book Critics Circle. The novel follows a transgender man who travels to the American South in search of his father, exploring themes of identity, family, and belonging. Their work has appeared in various literary magazines and anthologies and has received critical acclaim from outlets such as The New York Times and The Guardian. They currently reside in New York City, where they continue to write and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
