Andrew Klavan is an American novelist, screenwriter, and conservative commentator. Born in New York City in 1954, he attended Yale University and the University of California, Berkeley. Klavan is known for his prolific output in various genres, including thrillers, crime novels, and young adult fiction. Klavan's notable works include the science fiction thriller "Golden Calf" (1988), the mystery novel "Don't Say a Word" (2001), and the young adult series "The Last Apprentice" (2009-2010). His writing has received critical acclaim and recognition. For instance, "Don't Say a Word" was adapted into a successful film starring Michael Douglas. Klavan is also a recipient of the Alex Award from the American Library Association for his young adult work.
