Viveca Sten

**Viveca Sten** (born 1959) is a Swedish author known for her atmospheric psychological thrillers. Raised in Stockholm, Sten worked as a journalist and translator before turning to fiction. Her debut novel, "The Ice Princess," published in 2002, became an international bestseller. It launched a series of suspenseful books featuring Detective Superintendent Thomas Andreasson, which have been praised for their complex characters, intricate plots, and chilling Nordic settings.
