**Tony Parsons** (born 1953) is a British author and journalist. Born in Leeds, England, he initially pursued a career in journalism, working for publications such as the Daily Mirror and The Sun. Parsons transitioned to writing novels in the 1990s. His breakout novel, "Man and Boy," won the Specsavers National Book Award for Popular Fiction in 1999.
