Tana French

Tana French is an Irish-American author known for her Dublin Murder Squad crime novels. Born in Burlington, Vermont, in 1973, she moved to Ireland as a child and studied at Trinity College Dublin. French began writing full-time in 2007 and published her debut novel, "In the Woods," in 2007. The book won several awards, including the Edgar Award for Best Novel, and established her as a rising star in the crime fiction genre. Over the next decade, French published five more Dublin Murder Squad novels: "The Likeness" (2008), "Faithful Place" (2010), "Broken Harbor" (2012), "The Secret Place" (2014), and "The Witch Elm" (2018). Her novels have been praised for their complex characters, atmospheric settings, and gripping plots. French's work has garnered critical success and commercial success worldwide. She has won numerous awards, including the Edgar Award three times, the Anthony Award twice, and the Macavity Award. Her books have been translated into more than 30 languages.
