Steve Burrows

Steve Burrows is a British author best known for his historical crime fiction novels set in Georgian England. Born in 1955, he studied history at the University of Bristol before working as a teacher and intelligence analyst. In 2008, Burrows published his debut novel, "The Executioner's Daughter," which introduced Detective Inspector Thomas Pitt and his wife, Charlotte. The series has since grown to over 20 books, winning numerous awards, including the Crime Writers' Association Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award and the CWA Historical Dagger Award. Burrows' novels are praised for their meticulous historical research, complex characters, and gripping plots.
