Sharon Creech (born July 29, 1945) is an American children's book author known for her lyrical and emotionally resonant novels. Born in South Euclid, Ohio, she graduated from Smith College and earned a law degree from George Washington University. Creech's debut novel, "Walk Two Moons," won the Newbery Medal in 1995 and has become a beloved classic.
