Sharon Bolton is a multi-award-winning British author of crime fiction and psychological thrillers. Born and raised in the UK, she began writing in her thirties after pursuing a career in advertising and marketing. Bolton's breakthrough novel, "Sacrifice" (2008), introduced Detective Constable Lacey Flint, the protagonist of a successful series.
