Sara Blaedel

Sara Blaedel (born 1968) is a Danish novelist known for her crime thrillers. Growing up in Copenhagen, Blaedel worked as a journalist before turning to writing fiction. Her debut novel, "Grønt støv" (2004), introduced detective Louise Rick, who features in several subsequent books. Blaedel's international breakthrough came with "The Forgotten Girls" (2007), which has been translated into over 30 languages. Blaedel's novels are characterized by complex plots, atmospheric settings, and strong female characters. Her work has received critical acclaim for its suspense, psychological depth, and social commentary. She has won numerous awards, including the Glass Key Award (2010) and the Palle Rosenkrantz Prize (2012).
