Robert Rankin
Robert Rankin (born 1960) is a prolific Scottish fantasy author known for his satirical and offbeat novels. Born in Falkirk, Rankin studied electronics before pursuing writing. He gained attention with the "Brentford Trilogy" (1998-2000), which parodied Arthurian legends and featured the irreverent wizard Brentford. Rankin has since written dozens of books, including the "Bus Stop" series, the "Captain Scarlet" series, and the "Witchfinder" series. Rankin's novels blend fantasy, comedy, and social commentary. He has received several awards, including the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel (2001) for "The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse."
