Philip Margolin

Philip Margolin is an acclaimed American attorney and bestselling author known for his gripping legal thrillers. Born in New York City in 1948, he earned a degree in political science from Brandeis University and later graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law. Margolin's legal career informed his writing, and he has used his courtroom experience to create complex and believable characters in his novels. His 1991 debut, "Gone, But Not Forgotten," introduced investigator Amanda Jaffe, who became a recurring protagonist. Other notable works include "The Burning Man" (1997), "The Third Victim" (2011), and "Capitol Murder" (2019).
