Mick Herron

Mick Herron is a British author known for his espionage thrillers. Born in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1963, he worked as a journalist and editor before turning to writing fiction. Herron's debut novel, "Slow Horses," was published in 2010, introducing readers to the Slough House team of disgraced MI5 agents. The series has become a critical and commercial success, winning numerous awards, including three Crime Writers' Association Daggers: the Gold Dagger, the Diamond Dagger, and the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger. Herron's writing has been praised for its sharp wit, well-developed characters, and intricate plots. He has also received the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award and been shortlisted for the Edgar Award and the Anthony Award. His work has been translated into over 40 languages and adapted into a popular BBC television series.
