Marissa Meyer

Marissa Meyer is an American science fiction and fantasy author known for her young-adult novels. Born in Tacoma, Washington in 1984, she graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in creative writing. Meyer rose to prominence with her "The Lunar Chronicles" series, a futuristic retelling of classic fairy tales. The first book in the series, "Cinder," was published in 2012 and became a New York Times bestseller. The subsequent books, "Scarlet," "Cress," and "Winter," also achieved critical and commercial success. Meyer has also written the "Renegades" trilogy, "Instant Karma," and "Supernova." Her works have been translated into more than 30 languages and sold millions of copies worldwide. Meyer has received numerous awards, including the Golden Kite Award and the Goodreads Choice Award, and has been praised for her imaginative world-building and compelling characters.
