Marcus Sakey

Marcus Sakey is an American author known for his crime and science fiction novels. Born in 1969 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he holds degrees in English and public relations from the University of Michigan and Syracuse University, respectively. Sakey's debut novel, "The Blade Itself," was published in 2006 and became an instant bestseller. He has since written several other successful novels, including "Good People" (2009), "The Lost Girls" (2013), and "Afterlife" (2019). "Brilliance," his 2013 novel about a group of individuals with extraordinary abilities, was adapted into a 2018 film starring Will Smith. Sakey's work has received critical acclaim for its suspenseful plots, well-developed characters, and thought-provoking themes. He has been nominated for several awards, including the Edgar Allan Poe Award and the Anthony Award for Best Novel.
