Kiera Cass

Kiera Cass (born May 19, 1981) is an American author best known for her dystopian young adult novel series, "The Selection." Cass was born in South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Science in History from Radford University. After working as a pastry chef and clinical dietician, she turned to writing full-time. Her debut novel, "The Selection," was published in 2012 and became an instant bestseller. The series, which follows a group of young women competing for the hand of a prince in a futuristic society, has sold over 12 million copies worldwide. Cass has received numerous awards for her work, including the Goodreads Choice Award for Best YA Fantasy & Science Fiction (2012) and the Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Young Adult Fantasy (2013). Her books have been praised for their engaging characters, suspenseful plots, and thought-provoking themes.
