Karin Slaughter

Karin Slaughter (born January 6, 1971) is an American crime writer known for her gritty and suspenseful novels. Growing up in Jonesboro, Georgia, Slaughter began writing short stories as a child and went on to study journalism at Georgia State University. After working as a journalist for several years, she published her debut novel, "Blindsighted," in 2001.
