Karen Marie Moning is an American author of paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and science fiction. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Moning's passion for writing emerged at a young age. After graduating from the University of Dayton with a degree in Marketing, she worked in advertising before becoming a full-time writer in 2002. Moning is renowned for her "Fever" series, which follows the adventures of MacKayla Lane, a sidhe-seer who can see faeries. The series has sold millions of copies worldwide and won numerous awards, including the RITA Award and the Golden Heart Award. Moning's other notable works include the "Highlander" series, the "Darkfever" series, and the "Shadowfever" series.
