Josephine Cox

Josephine Cox (1938-2021) was a prolific British author known for her romantic and historical novels. Born in London, Cox pursued a career in nursing before turning to writing. Her debut novel, "The Haunting," was published in 1974. She went on to write over 100 books, many of which topped bestseller lists in the UK and internationally. Notable works include "The Taming," "The Matchmaker," "The Songbird," and the "Pinkerton" series. Her novels often explored themes of love, loss, and the strength of family bonds. Cox received numerous awards, including the Romantic Novelists' Association Book of the Year Award twice, in 1989 and 2001. She was also made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2000 for her services to literature.
