J R Ward

Jessica Bird, known as J.R. Ward, is an American author of paranormal romance novels. Born in Massachusetts in 1969, she initially worked as a lawyer before pursuing her writing passion. Ward's notable works include the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, featuring vampire warriors in Caldwell, New York. The first book in the series, "Dark Lover," was published in 2005 and garnered widespread critical acclaim. Her other popular series include The Fallen Angels and The Bourbon Kings. Ward has received several literary awards, including the Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Best Paranormal Romance in 2006 and 2007. Her novels have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into more than 25 languages. Despite mixed critical reception for her writing style and plotlines, Ward's novels have gained a dedicated fan base.
