Hilary Mantel

Hilary Mantel (1952-2022) was an acclaimed British author known for her historical fiction. Born in Derbyshire, England, Mantel worked as a social worker before turning to writing. Her breakthrough came with her 2009 novel "Wolf Hall," the first book in a trilogy about Thomas Cromwell, a key figure in Henry VIII's court.
