Damien Boyd

Damien Boyd (born 1968) is an Australian novelist and essayist. He grew up in a working-class suburb of Brisbane and studied creative writing at the University of Queensland. Boyd's debut novel, "Merciless Gods" (2000), won the Miles Franklin Award and was shortlisted for the UK Guardian Fiction Prize. He has since published several more acclaimed novels, including "Transplant" (2003), "Blackwater" (2006), and "The Darkness" (2015).
