Anna Smith Spark

Anna Smith Spark is a pseudonym for Nancy Kress, an American science fiction and fantasy author. Kress was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1948. She attended the University of Buffalo and earned a degree in English. After graduating, she worked as an editor and technical writer before turning to full-time writing in 1981. Kress has published over 40 novels and short stories, including the Hugo Award-winning "None So Blind" (1994) and "The White Queen" (1996). Her work has been praised for its strong characters, complex plots, and thoughtful exploration of scientific and social issues. Kress has also received the Nebula Award, the John W. Campbell Award, and the Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award.
