Ann Hazelwood (born 1959) is an American author known for her historical fiction novels. Born in Georgia, she earned a degree in journalism from Auburn University and worked in public relations before pursuing writing full-time. Hazelwood's first novel, "The River's Song," was published in 2012 and became a national bestseller. She has since written several other historical novels, including "The Fire's Daughter" (2014), "The Shadow King" (2016), and "The Inheritance of Secrets" (2019). Hazelwood's novels are praised for their vivid storytelling, evocative settings, and strong female characters. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Georgia Author of the Year Award and the Townsend Prize for Historical Fiction.
