Ally Condie is an American novelist known for young adult dystopian fiction. Born in 1978 in Cedar City, Utah, she studied English and art history at Brigham Young University. Condie's debut novel, "Matched" (2010), became a New York Times bestseller and garnered critical acclaim for its thought-provoking exploration of societal control and individual freedom. She followed it up with two sequels, "Crossed" (2011) and "Reached" (2012), completing the "Matched" trilogy. Condie's works have been translated into over 30 languages and have received numerous awards, including the American Library Association's Margaret A. Edwards Award in 2013. Her writing style combines lyrical prose with suspenseful plots, delving into themes of identity, choice, and the complexities of human nature.
