Alison Weir

Alison Weir (born 1951) is a renowned British historian and historical novelist. A graduate of Oxford University, she initially worked as a journalist before dedicating herself to writing. Weir has authored numerous acclaimed historical non-fiction and fiction works, including her six-volume "Six Tudor Queens" series and the "Wars of the Roses" tetralogy. Her books have garnered widespread critical acclaim for their meticulous research, vivid storytelling, and accurate depictions of historical events. Among her notable works is "The White Queen" (2009), which won the Spear's Book of the Year Award and was adapted into a popular television series.
