Alexandra Stoddard

Alexandra Stoddard (1934-2021) was an American author, designer, and lifestyle expert. Born in New York City into a wealthy family, she studied art history at Smith College. After working as an editor at Vogue and House Beautiful, Stoddard began writing books on interior design, entertaining, and mindful living. Known for her elegant and timeless style, Stoddard's works include "Living a Beautiful Life" (1982), "Creating a Beautiful Home" (1987), and "The Art of Living" (1996). She also wrote several cookbooks and hosted a television show about interior design. Stoddard's books have sold millions of copies and been translated into more than 20 languages. She received numerous awards for her work, including the American Horticultural Society Award of Excellence. Her teachings and writings continue to inspire readers to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives.
