Alex Gray

Alex Grey (born November 29, 1953) is an American visionary artist, known for his detailed and often controversial paintings and sculptures that explore the realms of human consciousness, transcendence, and the interconnectedness of all things. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Grey studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and the New York Academy of Art. His notable works include the "Chapel of Sacred Mirrors" in New York City, the "Gaia" installation at the Burning Man festival, and numerous album covers for bands such as Tool and Beastie Boys. Grey's unique style combines elements of realism, surrealism, and ancient symbolism, resulting in highly intricate and thought-provoking artworks.
