Adriana Trigiani

Adriana Trigiani (born February 29, 1970) is an American author, filmmaker, and playwright. Raised in a large Italian-American family in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Trigiani's writing is often inspired by her experiences growing up in Appalachia. Trigiani has published over 20 novels, including "Big Stone Gap," "The Queen of the Big Time," and the "Roaring Twenties" series. Her works have been translated into over 35 languages and have been adapted into films and television series. Trigiani has received numerous awards for her writing, including the Southern Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction (for "The Queen of the Big Time") and the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award (for "Big Stone Gap"). Her critical success has been driven by her heartwarming and humorous storytelling, which often explores themes of family, community, and the power of women.
